For the last question of the first semester, I'd thought we'd do something fun. You are going to write about what you are doing over winter break....in a poem. That's right, I want to see your awesome poems on display for the whole class!
Also, I am going to post all the recipes from "PIE" by Sarah Weeks. Hopefully you and a loved one will spend some time together this holiday, enjoying a fresh baked pie!

My grandparent are here its and they are so near! They are so sweet and there heart is full of heat.We laugh and play every single day.

to gymnastics camp and might see a show.

To New Jersey I’ll fly

I’ll be there for Christmas
With my own special wish list.
But before that, Hanukkah will begin
I’ll eat latkes, and the dreidel will spin.
On Christmas Eve, Santa’s beard will be as white as the snow
And he will always say, “ho, ho, ho.”
The Franks, Troyanos, DeLucas, and Nuzzos are the families I will see
On Hanukkah in Houston and in New Jersey on Christmas Eve.
Before Rudolph comes with his nose so red,
I will already be fast asleep, tucked in my bed.
Seeing my grandparents will be a joy, to get a bunch of christmas toys. I can't wait to jump and scream, on my brand new trampoline. Being lazy is what i'll do, by waking up at the time of noon. By the shore of a good beach tour, playing games will be such a bore. I'll see my friends both short and tall when I go play basketball. Not rushing in the morning, don't catch the bus, going to the movies won't be such a fuss.

For winter break I am going to a city that is very pretty.We will go on roller coasters and we might make posters. Our posters might say, it is time to play for the day. And when I get mad I might say, thou mammering rough-hewn popinjay. Then we will drive back home and I will still be saying, thou mammering rough-hewn popinjay! My mom will get mad at me and I will say my brother Will did it and start pointing at him. That is all I have to say, and my brother will say you will pay!

ReplyDeleteI will roar and I will cheer, as they bring up the score.
The celebration will begin when they win.
We shall go to the zoo to see a bear or two,
We will chew on our lunch,
While the animals munch on their grub.
Going to the movies to watch Alvin and friends,
While they are stranded on a island, Chipwrecked,
We will grab some candy, but no popcorn.
Of course I will see my cousins,
We will have lunch, and play kickball or football,
We will exchange gifts within ourselves, and be a happy family.
On Christmas Day I will rush to the den,
Only to find that St.Nick has come,
He has eaten the cookies and drank the milk and laid gifts under the tree.
